Lion and a Lamb

As I was worshipping the Lord at the church one day, I saw in a vision Jesus hanging on the cross, then the picture changed into a man with eyes like fire. At that moment the Lord took me to the thought’s of being Christlike. For many as we think of being Christlike we just think of life without sin, maybe praying for the sick and sometimes someone falls or laughs by the power of the spirit when we pray for them. These things are good and desirable but just so little part of being Christlike. As I gazed at the picture before me I immediatelly thought what it is to be Christlike.

I saw Heaven opened. And behold, a white horse! And He sitting on him was called Faithful and True. And in righteousness He judges and makes war. And His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head many crowns. And He had a name written, one that no one knew except Himself. And He had been clothed in a garment dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in Heaven followed Him on white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, so that with it He should strike the nations. And He will shepherd them with a rod of iron. And He treads the winepress of the wine of the anger and of the wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His garment, and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. (Revelation 19:11-16)

First, being like Jesus is being lamb of God for he calles us lambs that hear His voice. And by the blood of the Lamd we are saved, Lamb brings grace into our lives and we are a flock of lambs as a church. We lay our lives for each other and this way show the love of God within us. Secondly we are called to be like Jesus in this vision, ofcourse we cannot take His place, but we are the army that follow Him. Bible says that,

The doorkeeper opens to him, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him. For they know his voice. (John 10:3-4)

We have been washed by the blood of the lamb and are pure, that’s what the white linen clothes represent, and we follow him, as an army. Jesus is the King of Kings and we are his army, think about that. Bible talks about how to clothe ourselves;

Therefore take to yourselves the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Therefore stand, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Above all, take the shield of faith, with which you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching to this very thing with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. (Ephesians 6:13-18)

Jesus is not on the cross anymore, cross is vital and through the new covenant sealed through Christ on the cross we are saved. But Jesus rose from the dead and is seated in heaven on the throne, on the right hand side of the power and through Him everything consists (Col.1:17). This same Jesus has eyes like fire, He judges and makes war, he did say that ”Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth. I did not come to send peace, but a sword.” (Matt.10:34) He did come to give you His peace, but He gives peace through sword. The sword is not against you, but for you. There is war in principalities and powers and this is what we need to understand. I see Jesus with eyes like fire, makes me want that fire, makes me want eyes like that. It is not for anger, but for love for the humanity, and destruction of the evil forces. I want to have mouth like Jeremiah ”Therefore so says the LORD God of hosts, Because you spoke this word, behold, I will make My words in your mouth fire, and these people wood, and it shall devour them.” (5:14) Not fire for destruction of humanity, but fire of God in me and out of me when I speak His word and truth for salvation of many. Jesus said He came to send fire on earth in Luke 12:49. It can happen through you and me, that’s what makes me pursue holiness and purity in Christ so much. That is why I want to walk His ways, not mine, keeping what He commanded me to keep, dying for myself and living for Christ. I see Lion and a Lamb before my eyes, that is also what’s within me, Lion of the tribe of Judah, that ROARS. It is not silent, it ROARS for the salvation of many, it ROARS against principalities and powers that are aganist the freedom of humanity and church, the bride of Christ. The time of peace is coming, but not yet, there is final battle yet to come before the 1000 years of peace.  

I saw One like the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the feet, and tied around the breast with a golden band. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow. And His eyes were like a flame of fire. And His feet were like burnished brass having been fired in a furnace. And His voice was like the sound of many waters. And He had seven stars in His right hand, and out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword. And His face was like the sun shining in its strength. (Rev.1:13-16)

We are called into His image, this is one image the Bible gives us of Him, pursue Him and He will manifest Himself to you.

He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him. (John 14:21)

Lawless

Bible speaks about the law a lot, how Jesus Christ fulfilled the law, how we are to live from the faith, not the law. Hebrews 11 is a great chapter how faith is trust and action, Bible says that faith without works is dead, we want to keep our faith alive with the works of Christ, right!?

And because iniquity shall be multiplied, the love of the many shall wax cold. (Matthew 24:12)

Lawless people do iniquity, right? Righteous will live by faith and are free from judgement. Word Lawless is made of two words; law and less, in other words we could put it less than the law. Many say we have nothing to do with the law of Moses and the ten commandments. Well, Jesus gave us one commandment, love God and Love each other, the book of Jakob chapter 2 will open up faith, law and grace working together, for sure grace overcomes all, but it doesn’t make the other vain, but without grace of Jesus they are vain, for it is through grace we are saved. The book of Romans will open up the law / commandments for us a little more.

For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not covet, and if there be any other commandment, it is summed up in this word, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: love therefore is the fulfilment of the law. (Romans 13:9-10)

So that is true that we are not to live by the law, but the love we live in should fill the law says the Bible and is fulfilment of the law. This cannot be done by the mind of flesh, but by the Spirit of God.

For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace: because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be: and they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 

(Romans 8:6-8)

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name cast out demons, and by thy name do many mighty works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Every one therefore that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be likened unto a wise man, 

(Mathew 7:21-24)

These two verses show that even today people try to reach God through the law / by works of the flesh / by some spiritual power, even how Godly they seem, profecy, casting out demons... these are signs that follow those who believe and still the Lord says: depart from me, you that work iniquity. It wasn’t about these things that were wrong in their life, it was the other things in their life, see, it says the one who inherits the kingdom of heaven is the one who does the will of the father, which is summoned up in the great commandment of Love. It is very personal, very righteous mind, mind of Christ, mind of the Spirit. So do not be lawless, do not work iniquity, examine yourselves and be changed by the renewal of your mind into likeness of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit is there to help and guide you. You are called to win the battle in your life and the battle of your life by the blood of the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Have faith in Him and be faithfull to His word for He is the Word of God.

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself unto him. (John 14:21)
